Hey! Today's been a very exciting day, but for it all to make sense, we need to go back to yesterday.
So, yesterday, I started a new job. It's with a lovely woman who owns a small business called The Secret Granary. Inspired by her roots, Veronika, the Owner, bakes bread with recipes learned in Germany, and creates gelato with experience in Italy.
Yesterday was my first day working with her. As she is only just starting to expand the business, she is looking for people who can contribute more than just customer service in selling products. After discussing my place on my university course, and my interest in photography and all things creative, Veronika handed over several of the creative tasks to me. These include writing her boards to attract customers to talk about us on social media (an aspect I am very excited about, especially shown through my contribution to MOVE Collective's social media team), but much more interestingly - the photography for her social media, promotional material and menus. The menus will be printed and attached to the business and displayed in house - allowing my work to be spread to the customers and possibly on leaflets.

Today, I started the photography. Photos included food items, such as breads, sandwiches, German waffles, etc. I also photographed beverages. Alongside this, I started photographing the horse box which this all takes place in, and the quirky features of the workplace. I'm so excited to continue the photography and to have the photos printed, not only to give me experience, but to be of help to such a warm, start up business.
Here's a few unedited photographs I have been taking today in this post. These will be cropped and edited before printing.
